Real Name: Kat
Age: Is how you feel not the number on a piece of paper. ^_~
Location: Pensacola, Florida
Question 1: How did you get started in the beauty industry?
I wouldn’t say that I am in the beauty industry since I don’t get paid to do makeup. However, I have been interested in makeup since I was little. I would go into my mother’s bathroom and marvel at all the different colors. But I really didn’t get heavily into makeup until perhaps till a couple of years ago.
Question 2: Did you have an artistic background growing up?
I loved drawing and coloring as a kid, however my artistic talents for actually drawing and doodling are of the stick figure variety. I sang with the high school choir and I also write. Writing has always been my artistic outlet for as long as I can remember. There is something magical about creating worlds and people with just a pen and piece of paper (or keyboard and computer screen for that matter).
Question 3: What other things do you like to do besides makeup?
Honestly my days can be quite chaotic since I have three kids, a slobbery dog and a cat who is plotting the dog’s death but when I am not wrangling or playing my horde I like to write, read, watch movies, scrapbook, make hair extensions, and the list goes on and on. Mr Dreadful often grumbles that I collect hobbies. ^_~
Question 4: Can you give us one at home beauty tip you live by?
Drink lots and lots of water. It honestly does wonders for your skin and your complexion.
Question 5: Any advice for aspiring makeup artists/beauty bloggers?
Everyone was a beginner once so don’t get discouraged and keep practicing. Watch tutorials on YouTube to learn new techniques and don’t be afraid to try and often fail at it. Everyone has off makeup days but if you keep at it you will see the difference. Also not only encourage yourself but encourage others. Makeup is about feeling beautiful and confident about yourself, but don’t forget to do that to other people.
Question 6: What are your top 3 My Beauty Addiction products?
Wow, only three? That is hard for me to narrow down but if I had to only have three I would choose: The Calm and clarify oil control cleanser, the Advance Wrinkle Smoothing Treatment (cause it is never too early to take care of your skin) and the Shadows they are super pigmented and come in a rainbow of colors so there is something for everyone.
